Program: Kees introduced our guest speaker, Laura Burca, a Registered Nurse, Manual Osteopath, and holistic healer
Laura is a member of Small Town Sprouted Health Collective, recently opened at 6 Main Street West in Ridgetown.
The clinic is owned by Dr. Alecia Chevalier, Naturopathic Doctor, and brings together a collaborative team of wellness professionals
With more than two decades of experience in health care, Laura is known for her deep compassion and client-centered approach
Each session is uniquely tailored to the individual, as she carefully listens, observes, and works to address the root cause of discomfort
She believes true healing happens when the body, mind, and spirit are nurtured together
Her osteopathic treatments involve gentle, hands-on techniques that help the body function more effectively as a whole
One of her early patients described being able to return to normal life after years of chronic pain.
No two treatments are alike, and many clients experience natural pain relief, improved mobility, better balance, and enhanced sleep quality
Laura shared several examples of patient success stories, including cases involving COPD and chronic pain
Osteopathy, she explained, can help with arthritis and joint pain, back and neck issues, sciatica and nerve pain, frozen shoulder, limited mobility, headaches and migraines, as well as circulation and lymphatic concerns
In addition to osteopathic care, Laura offers other holistic services such as all-natural facelifts, meridian balancing, and acupressure.
The clinic’s team includes Dr. Alecia (ND), naturopathic graduate Ashlyn, social worker Heather, and nutritionist Sarah
Two of Laura’s favourite guiding principles are: “Structure affects function” and “It’s never too late to feel better, move more easily, and embrace life more fully”
Her presentation was both informative and engaging, leaving members inspired to learn more about this integrative approach to wellness
The Rotary Club invites community members to visit Small Town Sprouted Health Collective and explore the services they offer
Laura signed one of the books that the Rotary Club is presenting to the Ridgetown Public Library
