Meeting Date: Sept. 26, 2022, at the Anglican Hall.
President Kees opened the meeting at 6:30 pm. After the national anthem, grace, and dinner, plus thanking the ACW for the dinner, Kees started the meeting.
Program: This was a business meeting.
1 Reinout: Financial Budget, Club account, Service account Fifty/fifty increase to $2.00?
- Reinout went over the finances for 2021-22, followed by a discussion
- M/S Reinout/Bob That this year’s budget be approved Carried
- M/S Henny/Warren That the Happy Buck be increased to $2 Carried
2. Kees: Corn Stalks in town, when possible, Wednesday, Sept 28
- Meet at Boonzaayer’s farm at 9:00 am
- Ben to provide coffee and treats after the stalks are cut
- NOTE Due to the weather forecast for rain, which didn’t happen, postponed to Thursday.
3. Kees: Tree planting in MEMORIAL TREE FOREST
- Meet on Saturday, Oct. 1 at 10:00 am.
- Rotarians, Horticultural Society folks, as well as 1st Ridgetown Scouts, will all take part in planting 103 trees
- Rick Bonner is bringing his post hole digger
- Paul to do an article for the Independent
4. Kees: Project for World Polio Day Oct 24 (Pinnell cookies and Glazed Donuts)
- There was a discussion of a few ideas for raising funds to support World Polio day.
- One idea was selling boxes of cookies, made by Pinnell’s and packaged by Rotarians
- Selling for $4/box.
- No firm decision
5. Kees: Change Bylaws for Cooperate Membership Discussion

Correspondence:
1. Paul read a thank you letter from Mitchell Anderson thanking us for our scholarship which will help him go into Food Agricultural Resource Economics (FARE) at the University of Guelph

1. Bob: Medical Equipment
We received a letter from Canadian Food for Children thanking us for wheelchairs, walkers, commodes, and other medical items
- These items will be sent to various countries in Central and South America as well as some countries in Africa
Other Business:
1. Paul: Rotary Benches on Main Street
- Paul will check which benches need repair
- Ron has volunteered to work on them
2. There is a C-K clubs social on Friday, Oct. 7 at the Red Barn Brewing Company at 20466 Lagoon Rd, Blenheim. There will be a food truck there.
