Meeting Date:  Feb. 24, 2025 at the Anglican Parish Hall. After the usual wonderful meal prepared by the ACW, David started this meeting by thanking the ladies in the kitchen. This was a business. Meeting.
Correspondence: 
1. Paul noted that he has sent a letter to the Diabetes Canada noting that we will not be making any donations to them
2. 
Program:  This was a business meeting.
1.   Financial report: no report at this date as all “current finances” are well - from Reinout, who is currently out of the country
2    “Digital Literacy Workshop “
  • All members were to bring a digital device so that they can get hands on instructions during this presentation
  • Kees:  ClubRunner
  • Although Kees tried to explain how to log on the ClubRunner, several members had quite a bit of difficulty logging on to the website
  • Clubrunner. Support to log on using a computer or go to the App store
  • Some of us had problems trying to use the App store, since it needed a login password
  • The result was that not as much explanation about this link was achieved
  • We will have to try again
3.    David B:  Using “Google Docs & Spreadsheets”  
  • David went over how to use Google Docs and Spreadsheets
  • For ClubRunner, the recommended method for logging in is to use the ClubRunner app, available for free on both the Apple and Google Play stores.
  • Unfortunately, because we had used so much time trying to access ClubRunner, we didn’t have much time to do this
 
 
 
Committees: 
1.  Bob:  Car Show + 150 Anniversary
  • July 13, 2025
  • There will be a meeting of those who plan to work at the car show
  • Tom Button has some ideas to make this an extraordinary car show
  • Bob will also have a meeting with the ladies who will be doing the 50-50 draw
2.   David B   Pancake Breakfast
  • confirmed: April 5, 2025
  • Bulk of planning & execution will be carried out by the scouts, with support by the Rotary in terms of “manpower” on the day of the breakfast
3.   Brian:  Easter Egg Hunt
  • April 19, 2025
  • Brian has sent out w spreadsheet for members to fill inwhere they can assist
  • Paul has arranged with  Hortons to provide two 12 cup carafes and 50 Tim Bits for those Rotarians helping that day
4.   Paul:   Adventures in Citizenship
  • Paul gave the details on the cost to send our student
  • Porter Airlines, from Windsor to Ottawa, via Toronto Island   $903.00, about 6 hours
  • VIA Rail, from Chatham to Toronto and then Ottawa    $601.00, about 10 hours
  • Hopefully connecting with any student going from Windsor Essex, as has happened in the past 2 years
  • Paul was to meet tomorrow with the two interested students, explaining the program, possible travel arrangements and request a written letter explaining why they wish to go
 
Other:
1.    Spring Fling - Thursday, April 3, 2025 - Dresden Wheelhouse - 6:30 - 9:00 pm
  • More information will be sent out
  • The cost will probably be about $10.00
 
50-50.   Winner was Ben VH, who gave it back for use in the next 50-50
