Meeting Date:  Monday, April 13th, 2026, Anglican Parish Hall. After a wonderful dinner prepared by the ACW, David B started the meeting by thanking the ladies in the kitchen.

Program: This was business meeting.
a.  Reinout:  Financial  report
  • Reinout gave a summary of the accounts, stating the they are doing well
  • David B thanked Reinout for the work he does
  
b. Committees update:
1.  Henny:  Easter Egg Hunt, reflections
  • No rain!!
  • Thanked those from the club who helped out
  • 110 gift bags were given out
  • The Kiwanis club bringing in their fancy chair during our time caused some hassle with kids going there instead of getting ready for our hunt
  • 0-3 year olds were too young  for this, not sure how they got into the ads in the paper
  • 5 year old Grace Jones found the golden Egg and won the bicycle
2.  David B:  Service Club Expo - April 25, 2026
  • Everything is organized with the lunch being done by the Adult Centre
  • All members should pop by
3.  David B District conference:
i.  Preliminary Agenda - from Sparky was sent to all members by David B
  • May 1-3, in Chatham
ii.  David B:  May 2, Day of Action -details of site & program
  • David gave all of the details of the tree planting with up to 50 of those attending the conference
  • Canopies will be sent up on Marlee Robinson‘s property
  • David showed some photos of where we will be planting the trees
  • David will send the schedule with these minutes (see below)
  • Plants will be planted in sand, which should be easy to do
  • David asked folks to fill in the form he sent out re who can bring shovels and spades
  • The is a nice sign that David B has had made for the site
4.  Bob & George:  Car, truck, tractor and motorcycle Show
  • Sunday, July 12
  • M/C Ron/Paul: That the club buy the owner of the Masonic Hall a gift for allowing us to use the main entrance to the Park                  Carried
  • Everything seems to be in order
 
Other Business
1.  David B:  Metal Recycling
  • Ron’s request for ”tractor petrol’ support
  • M/C  Jeff/Paul:  The club Ron financial support  for the diesel fuel costs for working at the scrap steel, $20 per trip                                  Carried
2.   David B:  Defibrillator for the Hall
  • The IODE have a defibrillator for the building where they meet
  • They are about $2500
  • Ron will look into this, talk to the fire department about their thoughts
  • Perhaps we could get sponsorship
 
President David asked if there was “Anything for the good of Rotary?”
President David closed the meeting unofficially at approximately 8:05 pm
The next meeting is on: Monday, April 27th with Brian Pasmore’s speaker at the Anglican Parish Hall
The theme for the 25-26 Rotary year is “Unite for Good”
